GunZ... Dying to Me

This game is dying to me.

The more and more I taste the fruit of life outside of the game, playing WoW, and rarely another game(which I won't mention, but it's 10x more fun then GunZ to me) the more I lose any care for this game.

I know it's going to piss off a lot of the base of you who are hardcore dedicated to GunZ, and believe me, I was there once too. It's a unique game, and it offers some pretty unique stuff. K-Style itself is a good system which i'd say should be replicated, to an extent, in other fast paced action games.

Honestly, if this game was more developed, had a larger playerbase, and had a better COMMUNITY, it would be a much better game, and could probably go retail. The game as it is now may attract some casual players and a few hardcore players who are dedicated to it's niche gameplay, but then again, every shitty game has it's hardcore base. Some people still play crappy games like DAoC(Far more then who play GunZ) which is... sad.

I may never return to GunZ. I know I know, many have said the same and not come back... even I have said it before, and in the end, came back for another whirl. But now, it feels different. I don't even have a desire to play in the least, I haven't even pulled up the GZF website in weeks, and I haven't looked back.

I've been fighting this battle of GunZ for so long, and it's honestly drained me to the point where I don't care. Before, I was able to hold some people back from ruining GunZ with hackers... remember those weeks when IJJI was first out when it was hacker free? I was playing then. And when I quit, the hackers swarmed. I did not want to see the GunZ I knew ruined. I stopped preserving it, and I won't preserve it anymore. Let it burn for all I care.

If anything, I will encourage you guys to get away from this game. Try something else, and find something fun and enjoyable. Get involved with the community there, and I guarantee it will be like a breath of fresh air compared to GunZ.

To me, I am looking upon GunZ and it's community like a pit of rancid infestation. And rather then go in there and fight amongst the corrupted to cure it, just avoid it and let them rot away.

When I think about it, I know.. Sure, I could take a stand. I could fight to the very end, and probably make a difference, even if it's only a little. But is it worth the effort required, for such an impact? I don't think so anymore.

I won't say GunZ is completely dead to me. Not yet. But at the rate things are going, it won't take long before it gets there. I'll see how things progress, and let you guys know.

It's the same to me as to you now. I haven't played it for about 2 1/2 months and still going. I really have no urge or curiousity to play it. GunZ was fun for awhile but after almost 2 years of playing it, things start to get dull. WoW is new GunZ to me so i play that more also Cultris lol.

Yes, You are AryaVarwin, but, you are also just one person.

One person alone won't change anything on an internet game.

Yeah, I've stopped playing GunZ completely now for roughly a month. Bought Burning Crusade (Expansion to WoW, for all of those who don't know). It's a pretty damn awsome game.

Heh, now that I'm playing WoW again, I'm uninstalling GunZ.

I will say GunZ is 'COMPLETELY' DEAD to me.

Game,
People,
Entertainment,

ALL DEAD.

I even get mad to people who talks about GunZ to me.

I block every people who talks me as a 'Kraise' in GunZ.

And guess what? I had over 100+ people on MSN, now I got 12 people on MSN.

You do realize how strange it sounds, you getting all worked up over a game and the community like it's a big deal? It's just a petty game.

Varwin. I did the same thing. GunZ...just isn't entertaining.

I recently went back to a CS 1.6 server that an old friend made. I've been having a ton of fun on there ever since.

To be honest, fuck GunZ. As much as I am willing to have it destroyed, is it worth the effort to worry about every single thing on it?

So let it die. And never look back.

Arya, i remember ive played with you 1 time in all of my gunz playing time. I would always try to find u and never could. untuil that one time, you were one of the nicest people ive ever played with, and you gave me good advise that kept me playing. To this day, i still cant stop playing gunz because i wanted to be one of the best like you, but it seems that will never happen. ive also tried to quit gunz but i just cant. anyways i wish you wouldnt leave. :(

I agree with your points.

GunZ is a dying game, and I target it's stretching of it's life with the continued insistence that the community would stick to it. The gamble worked, but at a certain price.

Fortunately for me, I did not develop such a strong obsession for the game as many "peers" have and instead, put it into the old forums rather enthusiastically. That would exlain my indifference towards the game the entire time.
